Wellingotn Railway Station got the first coin operated telephone in the country.

1914
The St. James Theatre was built. It was the first steel framed reinforced concrete building in Australasia.

1911
Radio-telegraphy station was opened. Its range was 960km.

1918
The New Parliment Buuildings were opened. Only half there original design.

1919
Port Nicholson Yacht Club (The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club from 1921) built a clubhouse at Clyde Quay (now Port Nicholson).
