1880 The Supreme Court was designed by PFM Burrows. 1880 A teachers training institute was opened at Wellington Thorndon school. 1881 Wellington Harbour Board was formed. 1882 Steam Trams were replaced by horse Trams because tey were to heavy for the rails and also made to much noise. 1886 First Cargo of frozen meat left Wellington. It consisted of 5794 sheep and 352 quarters of beef. |
